Bedroom

Bedroom

I was invited to paint the bedroom.

I had the impression that my clients expect ficus leaves and floral motifs from me. I began to prepare the interior, spread the foil on the floor. I carefully covered skirting boards, windows, furniture, lamp and bed.

In the meantime we talked. I revealed one of my theses that art is a record of emotions. It consists of capturing them in time, taking them into the future or recalling them. I expressed my belief that we should aim at the best, the most beautiful and the most pleasant emotions because of the fact. And that it would be good if they were consistent with the space where they are to appear.

And then I led them into the bedroom, poured 10 litres of paint onto the bed and suggested to make love on each of the walls.

I got the opportunity to take photos of these intimately caressed walls.

Boxes

It has not been easy to buy my art so far … But I have prepared small installations for those who want it. As you can see in the photos, they are packed in boxes…. … And that’s more or less all I’m going to tell you about them.

So these are installations for those who trust me.

For those who like my art.

Who need the unknown.

For those who like strange items.

For philosophers

and for psychologists.

For those who struggle with themselves and with reality.

And for those who play with themselves and reality.

For those who need surprises, beauty, and poetry.

And for those who miss me.

All boxes and contents are handmade by me with great care. There are several versions of the content, but the idea is one. This idea is marked with a Roman number I. Each idea has its own Roman number. There will be more boxes with unknown contents.

I think the installations can be good gifts for Art lovers or for those who like to think about the answer to the question “How to live?” It’s interesting to buy yourself a box with unknown contents. But giving someone … This is a higher level of fun in life. The level that I wish for myself and for you.

The installation cost is 50E + shipping costs, and well … let the unknown happen. zuzannadembiec2@gmail.com

Have fun opening the packages! And let me know what your impressions are.

See ya!

Teleport transgression

Teleport – The Gate

I got the opportunity to create a work of art in an extremely carefully, I would say even sterile-finished Landhouse.

I chose the cellar.  A room in the interior of a mountain.

I wanted to capture the moment or the state which appears after reaching the impossible. After arriving at the place of omnipotence and endless possibilities where you can materialize and enter any reality.

I called the installation „Teleport – The Gate”

White paintings

White paintings

I once visited a gallery of Renaissance painting. Titian, Rembrandt, De la Francesca, El Greco, Da Vinci … I walked from painting to painting. Some evoked  such strong emotions that I had to leave the room in order not to disturb other visitors. Some other paintings didn’t move me at all.

I wondered what caused such reactions. Not the topic – I have not been interested in stories for a long time nor the manner of painting (each was great). I even excluded the composition or colour patterns. I hypothesised that the artist experiences emotions while painting. These emotions are captured, perhaps with the help of brush strokes and vibrations or maybe with the help of mystical energies affecting the entire structure of the painting.

I decided to examine my hypothesis and created a series of paintings in which I quit all attributes of painting: colour, composition, plot. I wanted to capture sheer states. And when one of the selected states appeared in me, I applied another layer of paint to the appropriate painting.

The paintings in the pictures are the quintessence of that action. They represent three basic states I extracted and defined by the colours of the titles.

Of course, I recommend experiencing them personally – neither brush vibrations nor mystical changes in the paint structure cannot be felt through the screen.

History of the Future

History of the Future

It has been bothering me for a while.. If you want to build a house – you have a vision, plan, and a project (usually a very detailed one) – you hire professionals so you can construct your apartment.

The same things are needed when you want to produce a footwear, toothbrush, tablets, release a new brand and create its image… Even preparation of a simple premiere invitation requires a lot of attention. For years, I have been looking for a vision.. of the world.

Then, how should the world look like?

Should it be green, forested, clean?

Should there be machines with ecological engines?

Should people work since they are 6 until they reach age 65 in order to afford food and a roof over their heads?

Should we invent intercontinental, propelled by a magnetic field fast trains going under the sea level?

Should we aim at uniformity or diversity?

How can we share our goods?

Should we teach people to think on their own or should they follow a leader?

Should households be self-sustainable?

Should self-determination and self-definition be our aims?

How should politics look like?

Education?

Human relations?

What kind of future do we want?

Painting of the darkness

Painting of the darkness

The painting was created in a place where no photons of light arrive.

It was wrapped there as well.

It is an image of the dark and it can be unwrapped and viewed in the complete darkness.

Everything’s explained in the pictures.

White period

White period

A white period.

In order to understand something, one needs to get surrounded by it.

In order to understand colours I embraced every single one separately. I was wearing a colour. Sometimes even for months.

I needed to understand each of them individually. The relations among them. Their limits. How they interact.

And then the white came into being. It spread on everything. Clothes, animals, cars, walls.. It cleaned off the process of identifying oneself with things, doings, personalities. It started painting on its own – white images, not letting to be touched by other colours, it changed my body into the canvas.

And it has been like this.

And still is.
