Vernissage “Hasior Reincarnations” (Hasior Reincarnations) 2021

The stairs are covered with a red carpet that is long enough to reach the middle of the street. Too scared to step on its silky surface. A crowd of people is waiting nearby the luxurious rug. Two security agents guard the door.

6.00 p.m. security agents touch the headphones in the ears

At 6.04 p.m. they instruct the journalist about the need for permits to take photos

6.02, 04, 07 let a few people they know in

6.10 pm. Slowly letting people enter the building.

The doors are scanned by laser beams. Each of the many guests is stopped and asked to stand still in order to get examined by the red laser light. The guests have to look straight at the camera lens, sign some documents, and submit their fingerprints, which is confirmed by a sound from the computer. All this happens under the watchful eyes of many visible cameras. The whole process of entry over 300 people takes around 40 minutes.

Two out of 300 people refused to have their fingertips scanned.
